Based on the famous novel by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory features an original score from the multi awarding-winning songwriters of Hairspray (Music by Marc Shaiman with Lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman and a Book by David Greig), blended with songs from the 1971 motion picture including "Candy Man," "I've Got a Golden Ticket," “The Oompa Loompa Song," and "Pure Imagination” (Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley).
