Pepperland - The Lowry, Salford Quays, Manchester - Saturday 30th March 2019
Never as big a Beatles fan as my wife as older than the average teenage fan I was of course still aware of their music. I remember how the BBC banned a couple of tracks because of their supposed references to drugs and getting high, but this was the sixties and nobody quite sure as to what was going on especially the BBC. The dancing was very modern but very appropriate to the feel of the album. Sgt. Pepper album fans will love everything about this show but fans of earlier Beatles music may find it not really what they expected.

Motown The Musical - Opera House, Manchester - Wednesday 27th February 2019
Got to be one of the best musicals I have ever seen right up there with the classics. A hugely talented cast who gave their everything and the youngster who played the young Michael Jackson was a star to keep an eye out for in the future. The sets were really attractive with amazing use of light and colour on the backcloths.

Rough Crossing - The Lowry, Salford Quays, Manchester - Monday 18th February 2019
It took some time to get to grips with who the characters were and what they were talking about but all was made clear in time. All the actors took their parts really well and the set was very attractive. The show is really for an audience who enjoys early 20th century farces and unfortunately the number of people who did not return after the interval showed this to be true.
Trial By Laughter - The Lowry, Salford Quays, Manchester - Tuesday 29th January 2019
Must say wasn't too sure whether I would enjoy as thought it might be a little dry but enjoyed every minute. The whole play was very cleverly done and as an amateur actor in the past was filled with admiration at the amount of dialogue which had been learnt. The play was well written well performed and very well received by an appreciative audience.
Calendar Girls - The Lowry, Salford Quays, Manchester - Tuesday 30th October 2018
Must admit to feeling a bit like the husbands in the show somewhat confused and wondering what am I doing here. Show got off to a fairly quiet start but that I think was deliberate and allowed it to grow as you got to know the characters. Great to see an old favourite Ruth Madoc was big Hi de Hi fan. This is really not just a show for the ladies there were lots of other men in the audience all enjoying every minute of the show.
Fame The Musical - Palace Theatre, Manchester - Thursday 26th July 2018
A thoroughly enjoyable evening's entertainment. The dancing was superb both the ballet moves and the modern.Mica Paris gave a great performance as the headmistress trying to tame an unruly bunch.A taste of sadness at the end but the finale was pure magic
ART - The Lowry, Salford Quays, Manchester - Monday 26th March 2018
Stephen Tompkinson is one of my favourite actors his portrayal of DCI Banks on TV was spot on. His monologue in Art about the problems with his wedding invitations was brilliant and applauded warmly by the audience. An enjoyable show brilliantly acted.
Fat Friends - Opera House, Manchester - Monday 19th March 2018
Saw Freddie Flintoff in a whole new light.Chorus was first class in both movement and voice.Really impressed by sets really clever rotating to see inside.Never had any dealings with slimming groups but enjoyed the humour.
