The Drifters
Continuing the legacy of George and Faye Treadwell, the latest line-up of The Drifters are back on tour in the UK with a brand-new show, performing all the classic hits of the soul legends from the last six decades, such as 'Saturday Night At Movies', 'You're More Than A Number', 'Come on Over to My Place', Up On The Roof', 'Under the Boardwalk', Kissin' in the Back Row'. 'Save the Last Dance for Me', 'Down on the Beach', 'Hello Happiness', and many many more.
The legendary group have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, performed for the President of the United States and listed among the greatest artists of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine.
Tina Treadwell (daughter to the late Drifters managers George and Faye) has continued the legacy of The Drifters, leaving behind a career at the Disney Channel, where she oversaw careers of the likes of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, before producing Michael Jackson’s birthday party in Los Angeles in 2003 and devising the hit The Drifters Girl musical.
While none of the original members survive, nor any of the British-based line-up from 1972 - 1982 which featured the late Johnny Moore, the current group consists of Louis Bailey, Stephen Brown, Jerome Manning, and Jeff Hall.
