Dinosaurs in the Park

Stomping into Manchester’s Heaton Park this summer, Dinosaurs in the Park features 40 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs and is sure to delight dino fans of all ages.

Transforming the Park into a palaeontologist’s playground from July 20th to August 6th, Dinosaurs in the Park offers an educational and enjoyable day out for the whole family. Visitors can wind their way along the Dinosaur Trail, solve puzzles, and carry out some Jurassic dentistry by brushing the teeth of the resident T-Rex.

With dinosaurs round every corner, the park will be filled with classic favourites such as the Stegosaurus, Triceratops and Velociraptor, as well as the lesser-known Dilophosaurus, Kentrosaurus and Hypacrosaurus.

Plus, there will be a guest appearance on Sunday 23rd July and Saturday 5th August from a real-life palaeontologist, Manchester University’s Dr Dean Lomax.
The famed palaeontologist will be discussing all-things dinosaurs as well as answering questions, showcasing some of his fossil collection and there will even be an opportunity for children to bring their own fossils to show Dr Lomax, getting the chance to hear more about them as well as have them aged.

After the trail there is a fun zone with hands-on activities for all included in the ticket price. Dino excavation digs, mini golf, dino kingdom bouncy castle, mini soft play for under 3’s, Designasaurus studio where you can design your own dinosaur and watch it come to life on the screen, Videosaurus and a visit to the Palaeontologist tent to discover fossils, dinosaur dung and interesting facts. As an optional extra there are also children’s fun fair rides which cost per ride.

After a successful debut this year in Plymouth, Dinosaurs in the Park are on their way to  Manchester and then Cardiff for the summer holidays 2023.
